Yesterday we had the privilege of welcoming the students behind Elmwood Supply Company to our office for a tour and to talk about creativity, entrepreneurship, and community impact.

What started as a program created by two teachers at Elmwood Highschool has grown into an apparel brand where youth are able to build skills, engage in real-world business opportunities, and express their creativity through design and collaboration.

Every purchase from Elmwood Supply Company directly supports the program, helping ensure students have access to industry-standard equipment and funding future projects for young people.

It was such a joy to spend the afternoon with these young innovators and we’re glad we could be a part of their journey.

Last night was such a special moment for our team because we were honoured with receiving the Spirit of Winnipeg Award for Workplace Culture and CODE.

We started as a small home run embroidery business and have grown into Canada’s largest Indigenous owned promotional company with an amazing team of people. Since the beginning,
Dreamcatcher Promotions has prioritized creating a positive work environment that welcomes diversity, builds camaraderie, and fosters growth. This award symbolizes all these efforts
coming together and inspires us to keep growing with wellness and connection at the forefront of our mission.

This week The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation gave us a wonderful tour through
their incredibly meaningful museum, sharing important stories, histories, and experiences with us.

During our visit, we were also honoured to be able to present a donation towards this amazing organization right here in Winnipeg. We’re incredibly grateful to our clients and partners who have been supporting us for years. None of this would be possible without you.

Last Friday Michelle spoke at the .mb Annual Conference where she shared the story behind the founding of Dreamcatcher Promotions and some impactful moments that led us to where we
are today.

Here Michelle sheds some light on a moment with her mother, who is a residential school Survivor herself, from one of our earlier years participating in the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Moments like these remind us why it is important to always honour and remember the Survivors and the ones who never made it home, which is why we are committed to making sure these histories are never forgotten.

Today, members of our team participated in the Moose Hide Campaign Walk to End Violence, which began at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and continued to True North Square.

This nationwide Indigneous-led movement encourages people of all backgrounds to take action against gender-based and domestic violence. This is a campaign grounded in hope, and wearing the moose hide pin represents a personal commitment to honour, respect, and protect women and children.

It was so meaningful seeing so many people in attendance wearing the pin and standing together in support of this important movement.
