I am a visual artist and the founder of Art Create Learn, an art magazine that features Windsor Essex artists. It is a magazine for artists and art lovers, showcasing local art news, profiles, reviews, and more. As an artist, I work in a variety of media and create artworks that evoke contemplative or meditative responses in the viewer. I have exhibited at various venues in Windsor Essex, includin

I’m happy to share that three of the first four paintings from my ongoing Street Wanderers series are currently on view at Art Galia Art & Custom Framing . 🎨

This series has been a meaningful part of my creative journey, and I’d love for you to see these works in person.

✨ A beautiful new piece of Windsor’s history is now part of Jackson Park.

I was excited to attend the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of the Emancipation Celebration Monument this past weekend. It was inspiring to see our community come together through art, music, storytelling, and shared history.

Congratulations to Dennis K. Smith on his incredible mural paintings. I’ve had the pleasure of featuring Dennis in past issues of Art Create Learn Magazine artcreatelearn , and it’s wonderful to see his work become a lasting part of this meaningful space.

Congratulations to everyone who helped bring this project to life! If you haven’t visited the monument yet, it’s well worth the walk through Jackson Park. And if you’re interested in learning more about Black history in our region, be sure to visit the Amherstburg Freedom Museum Amherstburg Freedom Museum.

What a great weekend!
On Saturday, I took part in the Amherstburg Plein Air Competition. Thank you to the .ca for organizing such a wonderful event, and to the Amherstburg Freedom Museum for hosting the exhibition and awards. Anna Buckie and I spent the day painting at the museum, talking with visitors, and learning more about the area’s history and the Underground Railroad. If you’ve never been to the museum, I highly recommend a visit. We were also lucky to see The Journey to Freedom, the travelling Harriet Tubman sculpture by Wesley Wofford.
Thank you, Anna, for a wonderful day and great company, and thank you to Bonnie Deslippe for welcoming the artists and keeping everything running so smoothly.
On Sunday morning, I was one of the Artists in Residence during the Kingsville Garden Tour, Tea & Flower Show, organized by the Kingsville Horticultural Society and the Arts Society of Kingsville. A big thank you to Aime DeLaronda and Dan Chevalier for welcoming me to paint in your beautiful garden.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in both events. It was so nice to see many familiar faces and spend the weekend painting together.

I’ll be painting alongside Anna Buckie and many other talented local artists at locations throughout Amherstburg. If you’re out exploring the Art Crawl, be sure to stop by and say hello!
While you’re there, don’t miss Bobbi Wagner’s retrospective exhibition, Looking in a Rear View Mirror: Art Reflections, at Bobbi will also be painting outdoors during the Art Crawl—a wonderful opportunity to watch one of our region’s accomplished artists at work.

I’m especially excited to celebrate the publication of Looking in a Rear View Mirror: Art Reflections, Bobbi Wagner’s retrospective art book. It has been a privilege to edit, design, and produce this book, bringing together more than six decades of Bobbi’s artwork and reflections into a single publication.
Join us from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Villa 92 Eatery & Cultural House to meet Bobbi, hear the stories behind her paintings, browse the book, and have your copy personally signed.

From mountain trails to city streets ✨🏔️🏙️

We had the most beautiful trip through Colorado—driving around Rocky Mountain National Park, staying in four charming small towns, hiking incredible trails, and soaking in the amazing wildlife and mountain scenery.

Now we’re spending the last days of our adventure in Denver, exploring this beautiful city, visiting the art museum, and enjoying its vibrant atmosphere. A perfect ending to an unforgettable trip. ❤️

Feeling grateful and quietly excited to share a few things that have been coming to life lately.
Our - Art Create Learn Spring/Summer 2026 (Issue 11) is now out in print and digital. This issue holds so many incredible artists, stories, and conversations from our Windsor-Essex creative community. It always feels like a collective effort in the truest sense.
Alongside the issue, I also released something very close to my creative practice:
📖 Roots & Wings Companion Workbook – Volume 1 A printable workbook with 60 art prompts exploring memory, becoming, and letting go. It’s designed as a gentle space to return to creativity without pressure—just exploration.
And I’ve also created an undated wall calendar featuring fragments from my Unfinished Memories series. It feels like a way of bringing those painted moments into everyday life while also helping support the continued publication of the magazine.
At the same time, I’m honoured to have work included in a few group exhibitions right now:
🌿 O Canada Exhibition with The Local Collective at Walkerville Brewery (this weekend) 🌸 Kingsville’s “GARDENS: Plants & Flowers” at the Carnegie Arts & Visitor Centre (June 1–25) — featuring two of my paintings alongside other artists
It’s always meaningful to be part of shared community spaces like this, where so many different voices and practices come together.
I’m deeply grateful for all of it.

These works are part of my ongoing Women & Flowers series—exploring feminine narrative, memory, and inner landscapes. Peonies & Prose is inspired by literary echoes of Pride and Prejudice, weaving together film, literature, and subconscious reflection.

Lately I’ve been disappearing into magazine deadlines, spending long days working on the Spring issue of Art Create Learn . The good news is that we’re almost finished.
At the same time, tomorrow marks the final day of my Unfinished Memories exhibition at Café Amor( ) in Belle River location (473 Notre Dame St, Belle River, ON).
I’ll be there from 11 AM until about 3 PM, sketching, enjoying a coffee, and later taking down the paintings. If you’d like to stop by, bring a sketchbook or just yourself. I’d be happy to share a coffee, some conversation, and a little creative time together.
It’s a last-minute invitation, but sometimes those are the best kind.
