The AODA deadline is December 31, 2026.

If you're an Ontario business or non-profit with 20+ employees, you're required to file an Accessibility Compliance Report. Miss it, and you can face enforcement (not optional).

At 50+ employees, your public website and web content need to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA as well.

A few important notes-

1) A website compliant a few years ago may not be today. New plugins, template changes & updated functionality could introduce new accessibility issues.

2) Automated scans are nice, but they don't catch everything. Keyboard behaviour and form validation should be manual tested.

3) A compliant homepage isn't enough by itself. Contact forms, checkout flows, account areas and 3rd party plugins / apps can also cause issues.

AI can write code in seconds, true. But the bill for fixing it ends up being more expensive than it's worth.

There's a reason the cheapest quote is usually the most expensive one. When code gets generated fast and shipped without anyone really understanding it, the problems don't disappear. For example, a routine plugin update could break the site, and by then, untangling it costs far more than building it properly would have.

- Veracode tested 100+ AI models and found 45% of the code they generated contained security flaws.

Attackers have been actively scanning WordPress and Joomla sites since July, no joke.

There's a confirmed, ongoing global campaign with named CVEs, public exploit tooling, and businesses already hit.

Two separate things happened last month worth knowing about:

1) On July 9, the Australian Cyber Security Centre flagged a large scale exploitation campaign targeting CMS platforms worldwide. Joomla's JCE plugin alone has 2.5 million sites in scope and has been on CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities list since June!

2) Then on July 17, wp2shell dropped - a critical WordPress core vulnerability requiring no plugins, no login, no user interaction. WordPress forced automatic updates, which they almost never do.

We're getting ready to launch Wyld Registration Sentry for WordPress, a new WyldCode plugin that checks email quality during WordPress registration using WyldAPI!

What does it do? Well, it can be setup to block free or disposable emails on registration, reject specific domains or domains without valid MX records, and optionally apply the same checks when users update their account email.

The next wave of AI agents is gonna be messy.

Teams will need to keep track of what these agents are doing as they start showing up across websites / workflows / internal systems.

Google touched on this at Cloud Next ’26 with its Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. It makes sense - once agents move into real workflows.. what can they access, what did they change, who approved it, and where's the record if something goes wrong? 😶

If AI agents are going to be useful, teams NEED to be able to understand, control, and trust them.
