In the start, it was Nancy Wilde who encouraged me to enter the Enterprise Challenge through Community Futures North Okanagan.

My confidence grew each time we got together to work on some of her incredible projects. She believed in me and my business and made sure I knew it too! Anyone who knows Nancy will say that she is passionate about helping others and this could not be more true of the support she has given me through the rocess of starting Pocket Grandson.

Sharing a special thank you to my mentor, Joanne de Vries for her constant support and guidance throughout the Enterprise Challenge process through Community Futures North Okanagan.

The added bonus, I get to continue working with her through the Fresh Outlook Foundation's Climate Action Ripple Effect (CARE) as a mentor myself. I love when things come full circle!

It took me a while for the full effect of this experience to really sink in. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to the incredible team at Community Futures North Okanagan for their guidance and dedication to all the entreprenuers involved.

When considering upgrading to a new device, you should consider what you need from it. Do you want to take really good pictures, have long periods without charging, or do you just want something that works? Give us a call or send us a message and we can help you figure out what you need!

Steps you can take to stop yourself from becoming that 1 in 12.5 million:
- Have your spam folder set up on your devices
- Check the sender of the email for a suspicious email address (e.g., micros0ft.com instead of microsoft.com)
- Legitimate organizations will never ask for your passwords, credit card numbers, or other sensitive personal data via email
- If the email starts with a generic greeting such as "Dear sir or madam" or "Dear valued member", that's a warning sign that it might not really be your bank or shopping site.

What to do if you get a spam email:
- Do not click any links or attachments, these could be viruses or phishing attemps
- Do not reply to the email, this could add you to more spam lists
- Delete the email and/or move it to your device's spam folder
- If you are unsure, contact the business/sender through official means. For instance, if the email is from "Apple", contact Apple through their website's contact us page, not from any information in the email.
