Go easy when interviewing a candidate. A lot of qualified candidates are still unemployed due to massive layoffs. Some may be unemployed for more than 6 months to a year and probably more. Understanding their metal state, attending interviews with a smile and positive energy is not easy nowadays.

Including a design system in your portfolio is a huge win. One of the requirements from a hiring manager to the HR would be to look for design system in the portfolios. Having said that, the design system doesn't need to be perfect like Material Design or Polaris. That requires a large team. Include the basics - ctas, colours, font types, cards etc. Watch the breakdown in my YouTube channel, link in bio.
