Big cinema impact in a small footprint — hats off to Alan Hutchings and the team at Spectrum AV in Mill Valley, CA, for proving what’s possible when performance and interior design have to coexist.
For their new showroom, Spectrum engineered an elegant solution: a custom marble-top coffee table that conceals a Barco Residential Heimdall+ Cinemascope projector, complete with active ventilation for heat management.
The result is the kind of “technology disappears, experience takes over” moment clients remember: one button, the screen drops, the room transforms.
The full system is a showcase of thoughtful integration and commissioning—Seymour-Screen Excellence 160” 2.37:1 motorized screen, Kaleidescape Strato V + Apple TV, Lyngdorf Audio MP 60 2.1 with RoomPerfect calibration support, premium amplification and speaker design, and parallel control via Control4 + Savant Systems. And because performance starts at the foundation, a Torus Power RM 60 isolation power transformer helps keep the entire theater ecosystem protected and performing consistently.
