A world-class listening experience starts with a world-class foundation — power. Congratulations to Joe Cali and the team at Gryphon Audio Designs Los Angeles on the opening of their stunning, mono-brand Gryphon showroom at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles—an environment where shared commercial power can make true reference performance nearly impossible.
This 3,200-sq-ft space features three dedicated two-channel listening rooms designed in a “good / better / best” progression—built to let designers, architects, luxury homeowners, and music lovers experience just how immersive two-channel can be when every variable is controlled.
From day one, the project treated power as infrastructure—not an accessory—anchoring the entire showroom to a Torus Power All-in-One panel with a dedicated subpanel (20 breakers) feeding isolated 20-amp circuits throughout, supported by toroidal isolation, surge suppression, and a separately derived ground. The goal: eliminate noise at the source and keep performance consistent across every room.
As Cali says: “I can play a vinyl record, lift the tonearm, and you don’t hear a thing. The inherent noise completely disappears.” (toruspower.com)
