team uses handheld radios that are often carried in chest harnesses or backpacks during training and active search tasks. Unfortunately, that can sometimes lead to accidental k**b changes.

“The radios that are passed out to members while we are on task or training are usually in chest harnesses or in backpacks. At times, the volume k***s can be turned up or down accidentally and on occasion, the channel k**b gets switched which can result in members not getting important communications. A means to keep the k***s locked to prevent this from happening would be quite beneficial.” - Jeremy Markel (Winter Rescue Discipline Lead)
