*** Artist Spotlight: Up There ***
Up There is an electronic producer and DJ from Victoria, BC, creating soundscapes that live somewhere between reality and the shadow realm. Rooted in dubstep but never limited by it, his music pulls from experimental trap, UK bass, and cinematic sound design to build a dark, otherworldly energy — the kind that feels both heavy and alive.

Known for immersive, high-energy performances, Up There has shared stages with artists like Flux Pavilion, Doctor P,Adventure Club, Abstrakt Sonance, Walter Wilde and more. *** Artist Spotlight: Aspen King ***

Aspen King is a force in Canada’s underground electronic scene, carving a distinct lane at the
intersection of bass, house, and techno. Raised on a remote island off the coast of British
Columbia, her deep connection to music was shaped early by waves, wilderness, and a family
immersed in electronic culture—so much so that she technically attended her first rave before
she was born.

Inspired by artists like Bonobo, Jamie xx, Solomun, Claptone, and Gorillaz, Aspen began
producing music early on, later refining her craft at an electronic music production school in
Vancouver. Rooted in techno and house but unbound by genre, she has developed a signature sound defined by sharp curation, melodic tension, and dancefloor grit.

Producing for over nine years and debuting in 2018, Aspen has earned a reputation as a
tastemaker in the 4/4 realm, with support from heavyweights like Oliver Heldens, BIJOU,
Blasterjaxx, and more. Her music has found homes on respected labels including Seeking Blue, Proximity, Heldeep Records, OFDM, Shepard Records, RF, Westwood Recordings—and most recently, REZZ’s HypnoVizion—further solidified her presence in the underground.

Aspen has brought her high-impact sound to major festivals such as Shambhala, Bass Coast,
FVDDED in the Park, Chasing Summer, Rifflandia, Wicked Woods, Friendzy Fest, Juno Fest, and more.

Her breakout singles “Run” and “So Fu**ed Up” have each surpassed 1 million
streams on Spotify, marking major milestones in her rise. A true multi-genre artist, Aspen’s sets are unpredictable, immersive journeys—blending techno, breaks, drum and bass, mid-tempo bass, house, and whatever else fuels the moment. No two performances are the same—just raw energy, precision, and a relentless forward drive.

*** Artist Spotlight: Applecat ***

AppleCat is an internationally acclaimed DJ, producer, and vocalist from Canada’s West Coast, known for blending Deep Dubstep, Fairytale Bass, Trap, and various world influences into cinematic, grimy performances. Her sets feel less like a DJ set and more like a spell: bass-driven, emotional, and rooted in the belief that “a revolution without dancing is not a revolution worth having.”

Onstage, she fuses live mashups, reworks, and ethereal vocals into hypnotic basslines that move audiences both physically and emotionally. This dark b***y bouncing dubwitch bends the perception of “genre” exemplifying her unparalleled “je ne sais quoi.”

She has performed across North America, the UK, and beyond, including Burning Man, Enchanted Forest Gathering, Rifflandia, Future Forest, Evolve, Envision, and Tall Tree, sharing lineups with CloZee, Truth, Emancipator, Tipper, The Polish Ambassador, and The Halluci Nation.

Featured in the global documentary Amplify Her (2017) and interviewed in DJ Mag, AppleCat continues to evolve as a primal storyteller and sonic architect.

A staple of the Vancouver Island rave scene for nearly two decades, Ryan Stebbings has been keeping the island’s music community thriving long before he ever picked up a pair of headphones.
