Like all of us, I’ve spent this spring moving at full pace.
It was a season of record-breaking prices this industry hasn’t seen before, raising the bar on every project that came through. Everything felt faster, more demanding, and full of opportunity in a way I’ve never experienced before. Amidst it all, I still found myself thinking about something I say at every sale. I’ll never take for granted a job where I spend my days with incredible people, elite cattle, and creating work I genuinely love.
The truth is, the exhaustion fades. What stays are the memories — shared as families, built around goals that once felt far away, and made possible by our community. This industry is full of iconic programs, incredible cattle, and record-breaking success, but what I’m most grateful for are the people. So many of these operations are people I’ve looked up to for years, and somehow I’ve been fortunate enough to not only work alongside them, but call them friends. That’s something I’ll never fully wrap my head around.
To every family and operation that trusted me with their story this spring — thank you. Every program is different. Every legacy is different. Every project deserves to feel that way. I care deeply about getting that right, and I always will. These postcards are a look back at the first half of 2026 and the people who made it what it was. I don’t take any of it for granted, and I’m looking forward to whatever stories the next stretch of this year brings!
