✨ 20 Things You Didn’t Know About Me — Part 2 ✨

You met a little bit of the woman behind Chantelle Dominique Productions in Part 1… but apparently, I had a lot more to say. 😂

So here are #11–20 — and this round gets a little more personal. From motherhood and marriage to daycare, gardening, creativity, old photographs and my slightly spiritual side. ✨🌙

Some of these are pieces of my everyday life, some explain why I do what I do, and some are just very Chantelle. 😂

👧 I’m a girl mom — Charlotte & Zoey are two of my favourite humans
🏡 I run a home daycare — so kid chaos doesn't scare me easily
💍 I’m married to Jordan — 16 years together, 10 married, 2 kids + 2 dogs later
♓ I’m a Pisces — creative, sentimental, intuitive and forever starting another project
🎨 I’m a graphic designer too — sometimes I start with a camera, sometimes a blank screen
🍎 I’m a Parent Council Chair — because apparently my schedule needed a committee 😂
🌱 I’m a gardener… sort of — plant first, figure out the consequences later
📷 I’m sentimental about photographs — because every picture eventually becomes part of someone's history
✨ I’m a little spiritual — okay… maybe more than a little 🔮🌙
🦋 And finally… I don't really fit into one box.

Film. Theatre. Photography. Design. Storytelling. Heritage. Creativity. Spirituality.

All of these little pieces have shaped Chantelle Dominique Productions — because CDP was never meant to fit neatly into one box.

And neither was I. 🤍

Now you know a little more about the woman behind the camera, the computer, the garden, the daycare, the council meetings, the cards… and approximately 4,783 “Okay, so I have an idea…” moments. 😂

Today marks the end of one journey and the beginning of another. 💛

June 25, 2026, was officially my last day caring for toddlers and babies at The Link Day Home.

Seven years ago, on April 15, 2019, I opened my doors through DSSAB. I started with three little ones, all the same age, after meeting their moms through our local mom-to-mom group. Over the years, my daycare family grew to include so many incredible children—including a special set of twins who forever changed my heart. Every child who has walked through my doors has left a piece of themselves with me, and I will carry those memories forever.

Today, I find myself reflecting on thousands of little moments—the tiny hands reaching for mine, the countless hugs after boo-boos, the laughter during games, messy crafts, dress-up adventures, songs, stories, outdoor explorations, and watching each child grow into their own amazing person.

Today is hard.

For seven years, caring for babies and toddlers wasn’t just my career—it became part of who I am.

But tomorrow begins a new chapter.

The Link Day Home isn’t closing. We’re simply growing and evolving. My little babies have grown into big kids, and many of the children I’ve cared for since they were toddlers are now heading into Grade 3. As they grow, so does my program. School-age care is my next adventure, and while I don’t know exactly what lies ahead, I’m excited to see where this journey takes us.

To every family who has trusted me with your most precious little bundles of light—thank you. Thank you for believing in me, for sharing your children with me, and for allowing me to be a part of their stories. It has been one of the greatest honours of my life.

This isn’t goodbye.

It’s simply the next chapter.

Here’s to seven unforgettable years… and to all the adventures still waiting to be written. ❤️

☀️ Artists’ Summer Vibes Are Starting! 🎨💜

Tie-Dye Week is underway at The Link Day Home, and the creativity is already flowing! This year, we made our own tie-dye bags, and the kids had an absolute blast.

Here are 5 important things to remember for your own tie-dye adventure:

🌀 1. Get your tie-dye kit
🎒 2. Pick your item (bags, shirts, pillowcases — anything goes!)
👧👦 3. Grab your kids… or borrow a friend’s! Honestly, tie-dye is fun at any age.
🧹 4. Prep your space and your clean-up plan before you start. Trust me on this one.
🧤 5. Wear gloves!

Clearly, I forgot Step #5… 🤦‍♀️💜

At this point, I’m pretty sure I’m halfway to becoming the Purple People Eater! 😂

Only 3 more days of school before summer chaos officially begins, and I couldn’t be more excited for all the adventures ahead!

Every woman deserves to feel beautiful — even on a rainy Wednesday. 💕

Owning a small business is no easy feat. You’re the CEO, accountant, manager, content creator, marketing team, front-end staff, back-end staff, and sometimes even the talent!

One of the things I love most about our community is seeing local women business owners supporting and uplifting one another. There is something truly powerful about women empowering women. ✨

A huge thank you to Meg for boosting my confidence and helping me step outside my comfort zone today. This was such an amazing experience, and I am so happy I did it! Even though this was a personal experience and I won’t be sharing the photos (sorry, those are for my eyes only! 😉), I wanted to make sure gets all the credit she deserves and more.

I also had to share a selfie of my amazing hair and makeup by Jen — absolutely beautiful work! 💕

Supporting local businesses is important, but supporting the women behind them is even more special. 💕
