The galaxy and crescent moon kept us company last night. We were captivated by the aurora, utterly lost for words. Even captured on a phone, its overwhelming radiance could not be dimmed — this is the unique romance the cosmos pours down upon the earth.

After an eventful night, clear skies returned at dawn. Warm sunlight fell right on the spot where we chased the northern lights. Behind us stands the only hostel in Eagle Plains. Today we bid it farewell and head toward the Arctic Circle.

Carrying a sense of historic ceremony, we step across the Arctic Circle latitude. Leaving Yukon behind, we enter the Northwest Territories and arrive in Inuvik, a small town of just over three thousand people not far from the Arctic Ocean.

Travelling as a group, we chase auroras and watch sunsets side‑by‑side along this road to the Arctic. Supported by one another and filled with positive energy, we press onward northward with great joy.
