History is worth preserving. To another 50 years. 🥳

Henry Wemekamp will be the first to tell you he didn’t expect to be in the organ business for 50 years. But then again, he'll also tell you his company was the first in the world to put a microprocessor in a pipe organ. Clearly, Wemekamp has a habit of doing things nobody expected. Fifty years later, it turns out that's exactly what makes him worth paying attention to.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Artisan Classic Organ, Inc. The -based business is a world leader in designing and building electronic components for classical organs. But back in 1976, working in the world of classical organs wasn’t on his horizon.

Wemekamp had just graduated from Queen’s University with a degree in electrical engineering.

We have turned 50 today!

The Classic Organ Company Ltd., later known as our current parent company, Artisan Classic Organ Inc. (following a merger with Artisan Organ Ltd. in 1990), was proudly founded and established in Markham, Ontario, Canada, on this very day, February 24th, exactly 50 years ago in 1976. We have come a long way since then, and we want to celebrate this momentous occasion with you all.

We want you all to be assured that we have inventory ready to be shipped, as seen in the 3rd photo.

Currently, we have many keyboards, piston rails, swell shoes & benches ready to be ordered and shipped. However, we are very short on pedalboards. So order now. More coming soon.
