A great podcast last week on SecurityNow focusing on Claude Mythos. Want to have a good overview on the risks this new model could cause if released, especially to open source code, is discussed in detail

Posted on April 19, 2026 by JonathanArtisanal Hand Coded: Steve Gibson on What Claude Mythos Means If you’ve been anywhere near tech news lately, you’ve probably seen a lot of noise about Claude Mythos. Two years with the ID.4

Posted on April 19, 2026 by JonathanID.4 Ownership: Two Years Later Two years in with the ID.4, and I still don’t regret making the jump to EV. That’s the headline. In a reminder to always do your research.
And for transparency, I am an avid Apple user.

I was looking for an option for a networked Apple MacOS device that would also run a Windows VM so I can have some Windows on ARM research and potentially development work (and something better than the cheap windows micro desktop I'm using for that now)

So I was looking at Mac Mini with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB drive. Which would give each OS 16GB of RAM which would be more than serviceable.

But for the *same* price I can get a base Mac Mini and a Lenovo Qualcomm Snapdragon desktop

Apple definitely overcharges for RAM and drive space. So always keep that in mind if you are deciding what options to purchase.
