Back-to-school, but for business owners.
No new backpack. No freshly sharpened pencils. No indoor shoes.
Just me cleaning my desk, reopening the tabs I strategically ignored all summer and looking at my plans for the year like…
Oh. There are only four months left of 2026.
September always does this to me.
July and August feel like we have tons of time.
Then September hits and suddenly we’re entering the four-month period where we’re apparently supposed to:
Finish everything we said we’d do this year.
Get back into a routine.
Plan for next year.
Run our businesses.
Prepare for the holidays.
Have a social life.
Remember spirit days.
And somehow figure out what’s for dinner every single night.
Personally, I’d like to speak to whoever decided September through December should contain approximately 14 months worth of activities.
😂
That being said, I kind of love it.
My brain feels like it’s back online. I’m excited about the projects I’m working on, I’m ready for a little more routine, and there’s something about September that makes everything feel like a fresh start.
So... back to school we go.
Do business owners get indoor shoes? Because I feel like we should.
