Thought it was about time for a new introduction 🖤

I’m Lori—a lifelong artist, proud bookworm, and creative soul raised in the glow of 90s nostalgia 🤓

These days, I’m living the rural life with my two wild-hearted daughters, and a small menagerie of ducks, chickens, dogs, and cats (both of the spoiled-indoor, and outdoor-barn variety lol).

I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil and designing since high school, but it wasn’t until I downloaded Procreate on a whim during those years-that-shall-not-be-named that something truly clicked. Since then, I’ve been creating digital paintings, designing websites, illustrating picture books, and designing book covers—bringing my client’s worlds to life with heart, intention, and a touch of ✨whimsy✨

I believe that every story holds its own kind of magic—𝒍𝒆𝒕’𝒔 𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓.

This is my petition to 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏!

I want nothing more than to have my shelves FILLED with old cloth-bound books with embossed lettering — bonus points if there’s gold foil involved! *swoon!* 😍

Ok…so maybe it’s not the most cost efficient way to launch a new novel, but no one can stop me from designing covers to LOOK like cloth-bound antiques!

Thank you for trusting me with your epic tale! I am head-over-heels in love with this story and I can’t wait for the day a publisher gets their hands on it, so the rest of the world can be as obsessed as I am!!

Can we all just agree that starting something new - regardless of how much experience you have - is terrifying? I’ve been working in graphic design in one way, shape or form for almost 20 years now, and I’ve been drawing & painting since I could hold a crayon...but creating a portfolio and launching this account has given me all the imposter syndrome 🫣

Don’t get me wrong...I have LOVED every single second of the process! But putting myself out there to do something that I am passionate about and really want to make a career out of is a huge deal for this introverted extrovert.

If nothing else, I hope you can all see the love & respect I have for authors, their books (ALL books!), and for damn good design.
