Hey it's been a while. Trying to get back into the swing of things. I started making this image around 5 months ago to express a terrible event that happened to me. Turns out I am still in too much pain because it was hard for me to work on. I will probably revisit it when it's less painful. Finished it quickly today. This is depicting a real event where a raven flew directly in front of me while I was trying to make a choise during a confusing time. It changed the fate of my life forever.

The death symbol can be ominous because it means painful endings. It also represents change and rebirth. The very thing that you think will destroy you, may actually make you stronger.

I got my brushes working again! I wanted to test out some textures. I focused on picking my own colours and only loosely going off the reference photo.

A sketch from a scene of one of my favorite movies as a child. I really just want to have it finished, even though it has less polish than I was planning.
Everything in my life has changed. Including how I veiw shows and movies from my past.

Tv raised me. Seriously. My family was never around to guide me, and I recently realised how much I relied on shows and movies to teach me about the world around me. I have come to realise, how many unhealthy messages I absorbed. Many about love specifically. I used to think characters like Korben Dallas, and Jack Dawson from Titanic, were very desirable partners. I thought they had so much love and devotion, and that's what I wanted as an emotionally neglected child. What I see now, are very unhealthy men that love bomb the women they desire. They have a lot of instability in their lives, and tend to hyper focus on the things that they think will make them feel good. They are a whirlwind of emotion. They may appear very confident, but there is a reason they are always in trouble, always running. Something tells me that if you were to look in on relarionships like these, years down the line, you would get a very different picture than what is presented in the early stages.

My advice now, would be to avoid men like these. Look for a partner that has a true sence of security. Someone who is calm and strong alone, and isn't desprate to catch you.

Here is my 2nd Inktober prompt: suit. Thought of playing cards, and wanted to do something involving the heart suit. Then I remembered song about how love can be a gamble. (Joker and the Queen) I really love his newest album!
This piece has a lot of personal symbolism. Take from it what you will.

Hello, it's been forever. Well, the things in my life that were making it difficult for me to work, ended up figuratively ending my life. That's why I have been away. I am rebuilding from the ground up. I am in a great deal of pain.
Though I am grateful for change.

Decided to go back and do the Inktober prompts that I was forced to miss for quick practise. They will be digial because it's so late that I just don't care.

I added a bikini for socials 😅

My commissions are temporarily closed. Thank you to my current client for offering to wait until my life was a little better. What a crazy year.
