Seaway House SL658
Hey art friends! Please check out my latest art commission which I made for my lovely neighbour and Long Sault resident, Brenda Champagne. Seventy years ago in 1956, this home SL658 was the 65th house moved from the hamlet of Maple Grove to Bethune Avenue in the new town of Long Sault, Ontario as part of the St. Lawrence Seaway Project. Originally owned in Maple Grove by Slim Carnegie and later rented then bought by Gib and Greta Mooney once moved to the new town. Brenda purchased the home from the Adams in 2006 becoming the fourth owner and has lived and kept the house looking great for the last 20 years. I was more than happy to make this artwork for her as I’ve always loved the house. You’ll find Brenda walking her two dogs Otis and Griffin around Long Sault and also find her cute dogs sitting on the porch of this drawing. I hope you like it! Nate
