Hi everyone!
Nick here, thrilled to announce the launch of Foggy Mountain Mapping and that I'm now accepting new clients! This is my next chapter dedicated to providing practical, high-quality geospatial solutions.
With over a decade in forestry, including extensive time with boots on the ground, I combine valuable field perspective with a natural aptitude for computers and deep expertise in GIS. For the past 5+ years, I've honed skills in geospatial mapping, programming, and system optimization.
My experience ranges from overhauling GIS systems with efficient open-source solutions like QGIS to developing custom LiDAR visualization software and automating data processing workflows. As one of the remote sensing/machine learning specialists on a LiDAR-based EFI team, I gained significant expertise in complex data processing and terrain modeling.
This unique blend allows me to anticipate and prevent field issues, design highly usable operational maps that prioritize safety, and streamline workflows for forestry professionals.
