Nintendo 64 overhaul complete! It’s been fully recapped, ultrasonic cleaned, and the shell has been thoroughly washed. New Arctic thermal pads were also installed to restore heat transfer. One controller was also disassembled and rebuilt with a brand-new Hall effect joystick. This console is spotless—no dirt, grime, or leftover flux anywhere!

During inspection, we found five capacitors were significantly out of spec, which is common for systems of this age. If you’ve got an N64, chances are it could use the same level of care. We can help!

MIDWAY AUDIO AMP A082-90903-A000 (from 1981 GORF arcade machine).

This little Midway audio amp has been brought back from the brink and is now living its best life again. When it arrived, the board had missing pads, sketchy solder joints, and the kind of dirt you’d expect from decades inside an arcade cabinet.

The entire board got a full solder reflow, and a fresh set of components was installed, including new transistors, mica insulating pads, and proper thermal compound to keep everything running cool. The switch was completely dismantled and scrubbed clean to banish all old oxide. The tantalum capacitor has been swapped out for a new reliable electrolytic.

This amp is ready to crank out GORF audio for many years to come—honestly, it’s probably in better shape now than it was in the ‘80s!

Vectrex Game Console (1982): Fully restored with all capacitors replaced, including the poly caps in the integrator circuit. We installed new IC sockets, voltage regulators, and fresh thermal paste where needed, then ultrasonically cleaned the logic board and meticulously detailed the entire unit inside and out.

The Buzz Off modification has been added, and the console has been fully calibrated for optimal performance.

A rare and remarkable system like this deserves the full Dirty Floppy restoration treatment—and we couldn’t have been happier to bring it back to life!

Sega Sports Pad & Sega Control Stick (1986)

Full teardown and deep clean on these classic Sega controllers! Years of grime gone, a light touch of fresh grease added, and now they’re back to smooth, quiet operation.

Naturally, we had to test them out—so we fired up Marble Madness on the Genesis for a quick play session.

Fun fact: the Sega Control Stick was originally advertised as being compatible with the Commodore VIC‑20, Commodore 64, Atari 400/800, and Atari 2600.

Panasonic DVD-A120 (1999)

DVD player received a full tune up and cleaning. All capacitors were tested, with five replaced in total (two on the power board and three SMD capacitors on the DVD drive). The old grease on the drive was removed and replaced, the laser lens was cleaned, and the drive belt cleaned as well (still in great shape!). RCA jacks and ribbon connections were treated with DeoxIT. The VFD display is also bright again after we wiped a film off of it.

Will these be valuable in twenty years? Who knows—but if they are, we’re confident this one will still be running strong thanks to the maintenance its just had!

Sega Dreamcast overhaul complete.

The final console of Sega’s legendary run deserves proper attention—and this one definitely got it. Every capacitor has been replaced, GDEMU installed, a whisper‑quiet Noctua fan installed, and the system now lives in a stunning blue transparent shell with a cool white LED to match. Honestly—A blue console just feels Sega.

This NES (manufactured in 1989) is back in action and ready to save Princess Peaches once again. Capacitors and voltage regulator replaced, power switch serviced, every part ultrasonic cleaned, and the original 72‑pin connector is performing like it did day one. Rock‑solid, flawless, and absurdly clean. Restoring classics like this is why we do what we do.

The Sega PAC-S1, released in 1993, is an extremely rare accessory—essentially combining a Mega Drive and Mega CD designed to fit inside the Pioneer LaserActive Laserdisc player. We’ve completed a complete capacitor replacement, battery removal, FRAM modification, and ultrasonic cleaning. Fortunately, it avoided significant corrosion from leaking capacitors and is in really great condition! Super happy to preserve this piece of gaming history.
