It's finally here! Our biggest and baddest project to date is finally being unveiled at FRCC this weekend!
I don't even know where to begin because this project has been so much more than just a wrap.
To the man himself, Dustin Stacey—thank you for trusting us with this incredible opportunity. It's not every day you get the chance to design a monster truck! From day one, you had a clear vision for this build and have been nothing but patient, understanding, and encouraging throughout the entire process. This was my first time creating a complete design template from scratch for a car body with curves in every direction. There were plenty of moments where I questioned whether I was capable of pulling it off, but your easygoing attitude and constant encouragement gave me the confidence to trust the process and believe in myself. Getting to know you and your family over the last few months has been truly life-changing. On our first trip to Fort McMurray, Landon Lake and I walked into your garage as complete strangers carrying rolls of tracing paper. Never in a million years did we expect to leave that same day with your unbelievably generous offer to gift Landon the chassis. That selfless act has given a 12-year-old the opportunity to chase a dream he's had since kindergarten. There simply aren't enough words to express how grateful we are.
A massive shoutout to the entire team at Precision Vehicle Wraps Edmonton for bringing this design to life. There's a reason your shop is one of Edmonton's most highly recommended businesses, and this project proved exactly why. From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated with professionalism, shown the different vinyl options, given a tour of the shop, and left with a level of confidence that no other shop had given me. Working under an incredibly tight deadline, Alex went above and beyond by helping with file preparation and making sure the prints came out exactly as they needed to. We went into this project thinking we could handle the installation ourselves, but after attempting the first panel, we quickly realized this wrap deserved the hands of experienced professionals. Even though Precision was absolutely slammed during their busiest season, Alex prioritized this project, had a replacement panel printed the very next day, and overnighted it to Fort McMurray. On top of that, the team connected us with the best installers in town, leading to my next thank you.
Hats off to the incredible crew at Speedpro Signs Fort McMurray for coming to the rescue. Within the same week, they fit us into their schedule and absolutely nailed the installation. Dan recognized how much this project meant to everyone involved and had his team working on it within days. That level of commitment is incredibly rare, and we're beyond thankful for everything you did to help bring this vision to life.
This project has been about so much more than creating a wrap. It's been about trust, generosity, friendships, community, and helping make dreams become reality.
We can't wait to watch Dustin continue making history as this truck begins its next chapter—from to DisasterPiece. We couldn't be more proud to have played a small part in its story.
