To help ensure your power is restored as quickly as possible, we recommend checking for any damage to your electrical equipment. Take a peek at your meter mast—it's the tube that connects the service line to your home. Has the meter mast pulled away from your house? Is it bent or broken? If so, you'll need a certified electrician to make the repairs.

Here's how to have any of the damage repaired:
1️⃣ Call or message us to report the damage. We'll then send a crew to your home to disconnect service so an electrician can make the repair.
2️⃣ Next, find a certified electrician. If you don't know of an electrician in your area, visit www.nspower.ca/electricians to find one who's ready to help you.
3️⃣ Your electrician can then safely complete the repairs. The electrician will then call us to request an inspection and we will reconnect your power.

Tell all of your friends! This is a picture of our stall at the end of market day a few weeks back.. Our market sales have slowed a bit in the last few weeks and at a time when farmers like us have a lot of abundance, we hate to be bringing produce back home knowing that the support is out there. Keep showing up to and spread the word, every sale really counts when you’re a small producer and we can’t do it without you! Every dollar that stays in the local economy helps to strengthen our local communities. Keep up the good work of supporting local!

Fire Prevention Week runs from October 5–11, and this year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.”

The Town of Antigonish encourages all residents to take time this week to review safe battery use at home.

Remember:
• Do not put batteries in the trash or recycling bins
• Place each battery in a clear plastic bag and tape the positive (+) terminal
• Find a recycling location at call2recycle.ca or at your local retailer

We received the "all clear" from DNR to continue events at FireLoch but "out of an abundance of caution" we will postpone our community pizza party until we see a few solid days of rain. That said, there are many upcoming events at FireLoch this fall and we hope to see you!

This Sunday!! Come on out to the farm for some good tunes and good times. Tickets available through or at the door. We’ll be offering some slap-up Cajun grub by donation going towards the big barn fund. We are always sinking money in this old beauty so we can keep having you all out to enjoy her! After a bit of a family vacation we are excited to welcome folks back to FireLoch!
