I've spent a little time this week with some outdated MacBooks ... outdated as in they can no longer be upgraded to the newest MacOS versions. One from 2010, and another from 2011. Both are in great mechanical shape and still have a ton of life left in them! I have a couple versions of Linux that run like a champ on a Mac and even look similar ... the great part is they're supported and are current.
