Big news for OrionX and Botswana 🇧🇼

OrionX has been named a finalist in the 2026 WIPO Global Awards.

WIPO - World Intellectual Property Organization. It is a United Nations agency that supports innovation, creativity, inventions, and intellectual property around the world.

This year, the WIPO Global Awards received 1,300+ applications from 126 countries, and only 33 companies were selected as finalists.

OrionX is one of them.

Even more special: we are the first startup from Botswana to be named a finalist.

At OrionX, we are building Africa-first intelligence infrastructure through Uhuru AI, Uhuru Cloud, and U Code. Our work is focused on real challenges across Africa and emerging markets: low bandwidth, mobile-first access, local languages, affordability, data sovereignty, and AI systems that understand our context.

Africa will not just use the future of AI.

Africa will build it.

This recognition means a lot, but it is not the destination. It is fuel for the work ahead: putting powerful intelligence tools in the hands of Africans with ideas, businesses, dreams, and problems they are ready to solve.
