NoMind Internship Opportunity
Role: Data Engineering & Machine Learning Intern
Join NoMind AI Research Team and help build Bhutan's next generation of AI technologies.
We're looking for 4 motivated students who are passionate about technology, languages,
and research to join our AI Research Team.
This internship focuses on developing high-quality datasets and conducting research for
Bhutanese AI models.
Research Areas
During the internship, you will contribute to one or more of the following projects:
β’ Speech Recognition & Speech Models
β’ Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
β’ Vision Language Model
β’ Data Engineering & Dataset Development
β’ Machine Learning Research

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
We're looking for applicants with one or more of the following strengths.
Technical Skills
β’ Basic programming knowledge (Python is a plus)
β’ Interest in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Data Engineering
β’ Experience with data collection, research, or software development is an advantage
but not required
Language Skills
β’ Strong Dzongkha reading and writing
β’ Fluent Tshangla speaking
β’ Strong English reading and writing
β’ Background in Language & Literature or Linguistics
Personal Qualities
β’ Curious and eager to learn
β’ Detail-oriented
β’ Good communication skills
β’ Able to work independently and as part of a team
β’ Passionate about research and innovation
β’ No prior Machine Learning experience is required.
Students with strong language skills are equally encouraged to apply, as language expertise
is essential for building high-quality AI datasets.
What You'll Do
β’ Collect and organize datasets
β’ Annotate speech, text, and image data
β’ Research state-of-the-art AI models
β’ Prepare datasets for Speech AI, OCR, and Vision models
β’ Evaluate and improve dataset quality
β’ Collaborate with our AI research team
Internship Details
Organization: NoMind
Positions Available: 4
Duration: 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on your availability and commitment.
Certificate provided upon successful completion.
