The Institute of Internal Auditors COB Club Integrity, Objectivity, Confidentiality and Competency. Meetings are held every two Saturdays in Room B27.
1:15pm - 2:15pm.

The IIA COB Club was established during the fall semester of 2013, under the leadership of Ms. Yvonne Allen-Skippings, Chair of The Academic Relations Committee and Assistant Treasurer, IIA Bahamas Chapter. The goal of the COB Club is to promote internal auditing as a pivotal aspect of strengthening businesses and safeguarding interest groups. The IIA COB Club was created with the intention to edu

cate students of the College of The Bahamas on the vast possibilities that can be gained from a career in internal auditing, and to groom these students into keen eyed, critically thinking business professionals. This Club seeks to follow the vision and mission of the international body and promote the global importance of our institute. Vision Statement
We are a professional oriented organization aiming to prepare students for the business world by equipping them with critical thinking skills, knowledge about the global internal auditing environment, and respect for our core values of integrity, objectivity, confidentiality and competency. Objectives
• Advocating and promoting the value internal audit professionals add to their organizations.
• Providing comprehensive professional educational and development opportunities, standards and other professional practice guidance, and applicable courses.
• Researching, disseminating, and promoting knowledge concerning internal auditing and its appropriate role in control, risk management, and governance to practitioners and stakeholders.
• Educating practitioners and other relevant audiences on best practices in internal auditing.
• Bringing together internal auditors from all countries to share information and experiences.
