Domingo passado eu finalmente terminei de clarear um controle de Playstation 1 amarelado que eu tinha por aqui. Como eu não queria gastar muito, decidi escolher o método mais barato e com o melhor resultado possível: água oxigenada (com 12% de peróxido de hidrogênio) + sol + paciência. O processo, apesar de simples, requer bastante atenção. O ideal é espalhar bem a solução usando um pincel macio, envolver o controle em papel filme e reaplica-la sempre que necessário como eu fiz nas fotos, porque se secar, amigo... vai manchar e pode ser que seja para sempre! No meu caso, eu só obtive o resultado que eu desejava no terceiro dia, porque a radiação solar não estava muito legal nos dois primeiros. Estou para comprar uma fita Led UV e um pouco de H202 líquido e quero repetir o processo em outro controle que eu tenho. Vamos ver se a diferença vai ser muito grande.

Like always, I didn't want to spend a lot of money and thus I chose the cheapest method with the best possible result: hydrogen peroxide (hair lightening mixture with 12% hydrogen peroxide) + sun + patience. The process, although simple, requires a lot of attention. The idea is to spread the mixture using a soft brush, wrap the control in cling film and reapply the solution when needed like I did… because if the mixture dries off it may stain the controller forever and no retro lover wants that! In my case, I only got the result I wanted on the third day because the radiation wasn’t very good on the first two. I'm about to buy a LED UV strip and some liquid H202 and I will repeat the process on another controller I have. Let's see if the difference will be that big.
