My most favourite glyphs to draw?
The ampersand and the manicule. Do you remember the fonts we showed you recently?
Well, these manicules are from them: some are light, some are sharp, and yes – some are round.
(And yes again, my favourite is exactly that: the bottom one)

Thorn Serif is all about sharp details-and it didn’t get its name by accident! 🥀✨

Another find from the shelf! 📚 This cover of an “English” textbook for a preparatory class, issued in the early ‘80s in Bulgaria, caught my eye while I was tidying up at home.

I’m not sure if it’s an actual font or hand-lettering, I couldn’t trace it (let me know if you recognize it!). I immediately fell in love with the heavy letters, the characteristic oval feel, and how the white negative space pinches the letterforms. I just knew I had to archive and share it. ✨

One of the most satisfying fonts we’ve worked on lately! 🖋️ A blend of old carved letters and unicase letterforms, all brought to life through our vision. ✨
It’s still a work in progress with a long way to go-likely a few stylistic sets and some diacritics to add. 🛠️ We’ll keep you posted! 📱
