Procurement procedure types explained 👇

🌍 Open procedure: A procurement procedure where any qualified supplier can submit a bid. No pre-qualification stage required.

🔒 Restricted procedure: A two-stage procurement process. First stage pre-qualifies suppliers, second stage invites only selected suppliers to submit full bids.

💬Competitive dialogue: An iterative procurement process for complex requirements where the solution isn’t predetermined. Buyer conducts dialogue with shortlisted suppliers to develop solutions.

🤝 Negotiated procedure: A procurement procedure where the buyer negotiates terms with one or more suppliers rather than evaluating fixed proposals.

🔄 Dynamic purchasing system (DPS): An electronic system for commonly purchased items that remains open to new suppliers throughout its duration.

📄Invitation to tender (ITT): Formal invitation to submit a bid. UK term broadly equivalent to Request for Proposal.
