I want to thank Janien for setting things in motion by bringing her box full of collages!
The shapes, colors, and rhythms she shared sparked movement. We placed works side by side, letting them collide, merge, and resonate. What happens when her abstract landscapes meet my organic lines?
Janien seeks more playfulness and spontaneity; I am drawn to straight lines and grounding. Our exchange felt like a first step—challenging and inspiring each other.
When she placed her collages next to my paintings, something clicked. The grounding in her work felt like an invitation. My work needs earth, a place to land. This realization stirred something in me—I don’t yet know what.
Janien felt it too. As if her landscapes carry the seed of something new, calling for more encounters. Her box of collages moves not only on paper but in the people who engage with them.
