About 05 years ago, I never imagined that one day I would find myself in the list of '5x something'.
Alhamdulillah.
Today, I would like to share a few lessons in 5 different areas of life.
Faith & Character
- When deen and dunya come face to face, always choose deen first. The Owner of this world will bring the world to your feet In Sha Allah.
- As Muslims, we should start learning the 'essential knowledge' of our religion as early as possible. Life usually becomes busier with time ; not easier.
- You are part of the Ummah. Prepare yourself to serve this Ummah - slowly, steadily and consistently.
- 'Arrogance' gets you nowhere. No matter how hard you stomp, you can't shake the earth. No matter how high you jump, you can't fly. But 'self-respect' is a different thing entirely.
- If you remain on the right path, even an enemy may become a friend one day, In Sha Allah. But don't curse them for their old foolishness.
Mindset & Perspective
- People usually see your success, not your effort. Do not build your life around seeking approval from others.
- If someone underestimates you, do not rush to prove them wrong. Sometimes their assumptions save you from unnecessary pressure and distractions.
- Try to see others in your field as 'collaborators' , not only 'competitors'. Even if you have to force yourself. After some time, you won't believe how far your value has traveled, in sha Allah.
- The better you use your time, the greater your chances of building a meaningful life. It sounds simple. Practicing it is not!!
- Live simply. It brings peace of mind and attracts less unnecessary attention.
Understanding People
- Be careful about taking life-changing advice from people who constantly promote everything for money or favors.
- Keep a healthy distance from people who take credit for your success but disappear when things go wrong.
- If there's no solid proof- like something in writing or a witness, only lend what you can afford to never get back. And if there's even a little doubt, politely say "no" - no matter how close that person is to you.
- Stay connected to sincere friends and brothers. Life gets busy, disagreements happen, but some relationships are too valuable to lose.
- Respect your mentors, but do not treat every opinion as unquestionable truth. A good teacher wants their student to grow beyond them one day.
Work, Business & Career
- Try to contribute through services, products and courses. but build one solid foundation before moving to the next. Don't be shy about doing good work.
- When money comes in more than expected, creative ex*****on tends to rust - that's an old story. Seek Allah's protection from ending up on that list of wasted potential. Stay hungry to build, improve and execute.
- Not every good opportunity should be accepted. Sometimes maturity means saying yes. Sometimes it means saying no. Sometimes it means staying silent!
- If you work in IT, try to create multiple income streams across different platforms. Decentralize where possible. Be simple, not naive.
- No matter how messy the BD's tech industry becomes, no matter how many people chase quick money, with the intention of 'sadaqah jariyah', take the risk and try to become someone through whom others find opportunity, false empires crumble, and people find some peace.
Building Yourself
- If you neglect your sleep, health and physical well-being today, there may come a time when money and influence cannot bring those things back.
- Once you start building any valuable skill whether computer-based or otherwise , don't quit before finishing one direction. Stopping halfway wastes your time, energy and money without building anything solid.
- Share realistic income ideas with others. But keep your own income sources vague. No need to lie, just be strategic with the truth.
- Share knowledge. Help others learn. Be generous. But do not make everything free forever. Many people only value what they invest in.
- In the darkness of the last part of the night, prepare yourself for the light of dawn.
Which two points do you disagree with the most? And why?
Feel free to share in the comment section.
I try to think carefully before sharing my thoughts on social media, but I'm open to correcting my mistakes and learning something new.
I had started this FB page after a lot of convincing and good intentions. But life got busy and the focus faded. Ma sha Allah. Maybe now that changes.
