The GP Accelerator Gala Night was a celebration of innovation and mentorship! Emerging winners from 20 regions and 30 community builders came together for an evening of recognition and inspiration, marking a new milestone in their journey.

Grameenphone Accelerator recently hosted its 19th daylong Bootcamp at Grand Sylhet Hotel & Resort as part of its efforts to support and mentor budding entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. The event was organized under the 'Jelay Jelay Smart Uddokta' initiative, which aims to empower youth and ideapreneurs by providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to start building their prototype and succeed in the business world. This initiative has already supported over 4,800 ideapreneurs till now across Bangladesh !

The event was honored by the presence of esteemed guests, including Mr. Abu Ahmed Siddiqui, Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet, honored the event as the esteemed chief guest, alongside, Prof. Dr. Monirul Islam, Department of Business Administration, SUST, Prof. Dr. Md. Mozammel Hoque, Department of Food Engineering and Tea Technology, SUST, Mr. Yahya Fazal, Bureau chief, Kaler Kantho-Sylhet and Dr. Ayan Mominul Haque, Community BUilder, Sylhet was president as special guests. The event was proudly hosted by Mr. Yasir Azman, CEO of Grameenphone Ltd.

Team Pritilata (IOT based smart vending machine for menstrual products and 360 degree menstruate tracking ) won the stage of Sylhet!

Meet Mr. Al-Imran Ayan, a passionate 14-year-old student in the eighth grade who is eager to learn about entrepreneurship. He recently attended the GP Accelerator Natore bootcamp alongside his parents.

At this young age he is surprisingly passionate to learn the mindset of those who have built successful ventures, learning how unicorn startups operate, and listening to stories of founders of creating startups based on creative ideas. He aims to use these insights in his entrepreneurial journey to create employment opportunities for more people and for a better future. He recognizes that this can significantly benefit society and help those in need.

Ayan Said “I am very excited to participate in the bootcamp! I have had the opportunity to meet a variety of people, interact with them, and learn a lot about business and IT that I hope to utilize in the future.”

From ideation to prototype testing, the bootcamp experience was filled with valuable learning opportunities, including pitch preparation, demo practice, Q&A sessions, and more. Our goal is to ignite a spark in participants to address local challenges and nurture future passionate enthusiasts like Ayan, who will lead us toward a brighter future for Bangladesh.

Known for housing the largest flower garden in the country, this vibrant town offers a unique blend of natural beauty and literary heritage. From its lush landscapes to its significant contributions to Bengali literature, Jashore truly has much to offer.

The young minds of Jashore are now exploring new avenues of innovation beyond traditional business. Over 250 innovators, ideators, students, professionals, startups, and business owners gathered for a day-long bootcamp, igniting a palpable energy. Together, they envisioned a multifaceted startup that would not only stimulate the economy but also strengthen community connections.

The bootcamp experience offered valuable learning opportunities, including pitch preparation, demo practice, and engaging Q&A sessions. Our goal was to ignite a spark in participants to tackle local challenges. Through each brainstorming session, they refined their concepts, seamlessly integrating technology with local culture for a brighter future. Let’s wish them luck!

The winning team from the Jashore Bootcamp is SleepCharge, creators of a smart device that automatically cuts off power to prevent overcharging and accidental explosions.

What an incredible experience hosting the 17th Grameenphone Accelerator 'Jelay Jelay Smart Uddokta' Bootcamp on 9th November 2024 at the National Institute of Youth Development in Savar! It was truly inspiring to see the energy, creativity, and passion of all the participants as they dove deep into Design Thinking Process—from understanding empathy to crafting prototypes and testing innovative ideas. The hands-on activities and collaborative group work were a great way to bring the concepts to life!

We were amazed by the quality of ideas and the growth we saw throughout the day. The Pitch Deck Crafting and Elevator Pitch sessions were key highlights, and it was exciting to see the participants put everything they learned into action during the pitch competition. It's truly rewarding to support the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators in their journey.

Big. Gen. Iqbal Ahmed (Retd), Commissioner, BTRC, honored the event as the esteemed chief guest, alongside, Mr. Tanveer Mohammad, CCAO of Grameenphone Ltd, who hosted the event.
