A chewed wire, a high trip setting, and a snapped shaft. 🛠️
​A recent failure on our crumbler was a sharp reminder of why physical PM checks matter:
​Trigger: Rodent damage cut the proximity sensor wire—leaving SCADA blind to roller misalignment.
​Escalation: Overload amps were set too high, so the breaker didn't trip before the main shaft sheared.
​Action: Repaired the sensor, lowered the overload setting for fast tripping, and completed mechanical repairs.
​The Lesson: Preventive maintenance isn't just watching screens. It’s checking physical wiring, verifying trip settings, and stopping small flaws before they cause major downtime.

পাওয়ার ফ্যাক্টর হল Real & Apparent Power এর অনুপাত। অর্থাৎ,

Power Factor = Real power / Apparent power

এখন, এই Real power হয় Apparent power এর সমান হবে না হয় ছোট হবে। কখনও apparent power এর বড় হবেনা। এখন, তাই PF এর মান ১ এর সমান বা তার কম হয়।

একটি মজার উদাহরণ দেয়া যাক। ধরি, আমার কাছে এক প্যাকেট লেইস চিপস আছে। যতটুকু অংশ চিপস থাকে তা রিয়েল পাওয়ার। ফাকা অংশ বা বাতাসপূর্ণ অংশ reactive power। আর পুরো প্যাকেটটা apparent power। এখন, মূল চিপস (real power) নিশ্চয় প্যাকেটের (apparent power) থেকে বেশি হবে না। হয় পুরো প্যাকেটের সমান না হয় তার থেকে কম।

তাই মাঝেমধ্যে মনে হয় চিপস কোম্পানির নামে ৫০% বাতাস খাইয়ে ধোকা দেয়ার মামলা দিয়ে দেই😄😄😄😄
