2026 Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) Social Impact Awards | Commendation 🇧🇩
We are deeply honored to announce that Bangal Sthapati has been awarded a Commendation at the prestigious 2026 Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) Social Impact Awards for the project ‘Police Café, Sirajganj’.
It is an immense privilege to be recognized on this global stage alongside distinguished practices dedicated to advancing social and environmental impact across the Commonwealth.
Initiated by the Sirajganj District Police Cooperative Society under the vision of the Sirajganj District Police Chief, Police Café was conceived to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the local community. Designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings, the cafe integrates climatically responsive strategies, regional materiality, and accessible public spaces to create an open, dignified civic hub.
This international recognition reaffirms our steadfast commitment to socially responsive, contextual architecture. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Commonwealth Association of Architects, the Sirajganj District Police, our project collaborators, skilled craftspeople, and the people of Sirajganj who bring this shared space to life every day.
