People often think that to build something big, you need a big team, a big office, and a huge budget.
But Hill Climb Racing proved that idea wrong.
The creator of this game, Toni Fingerroos, started developing games from a small room in Finland. He didn’t have a big studio, a huge team, or massive funding. What he had was a simple idea and the determination to keep going.
In the beginning, his journey wasn’t easy.
He built several small apps that nobody really used.
He faced business losses and even struggled with debt.
But he didn’t give up.
In 2012, when Hill Climb Racing was released, no one expected that this simple physics-based game would eventually cross 1 billion downloads and become one of the most recognizable mobile games in the world.
This story inspires me a lot.
Because I’m also trying to build something meaningful — SkillnexHub, a global microjob and freelancing platform.
The journey hasn’t been easy.
There are many obstacles along the way:
• Technical challenges
• Funding limitations
• Long development time
• Moments where progress feels very slow
But I truly believe that every big success starts from a small beginning.
Just like Hill Climb Racing started from a small room, maybe one day this small effort can grow into something bigger.
I don’t know exactly what the future holds.
But I know one thing — if you keep going and refuse to quit, progress will eventually come.
So for anyone trying to build something new:
It’s okay to start small.
What matters most is that you don’t stop.
And I’m not stopping.
I’ll keep working on building SkillnexHub. 🚀
