We shared a glimpse of this project a little while ago, but now that everything is complete, we can now say a bit more about who this remarkable cinema was created for.

It’s always rewarding when a project is recognised by people who genuinely live and breathe film, but being trusted to help deliver a cinema for such a skilled and well respected individual made this one particularly special.

Anthos Simon of Cinelux posted the following summary on LinkedIn:

“When a legend of the visual effects, film and animation industry calls and asks you to help him build his new cinema, it is an easy decision to make. That legend is none other than Zareh Nalbandian from Animal Logic Entertainment. Check out the completed room with an incredible 9.4.4 Dolby Atmos Krix system, beautiful woven screen, superior acoustic design and 4K laser projector with automated masking. The room looks and sounds amazing. Many thanks Zareh for trusting me to assist you with this beautiful cinema. It has been a wonderful journey.

Tucked away in a home in Western Sydney, Oracle Cinema is an award-winning private cinema designed to be used and enjoyed every day.

Our work takes us to some stunning locations and this elegant rural family escape in the Southern Highlands is no exception.

We delivered a complete entertainment system including control and automation, multi-room audio, distributed video, Wi-Fi network, Dolby Atmos cinema, surround sound rumpus room, outdoor music zones and a centralised equipment rack for simple servicing.

From movie nights and sport to poolside music and everyday family living, this home is now equipped with technology that feels simple, flexible and built around the way the family uses the property.

A recent client kindly shared this feedback with us.

Taking over an existing home automation system or home cinema can be complex, especially when racks, cabling and documentation have not been left in the best condition, equipment dating back many years, leaving it in a rather neglected state.

It’s challenging work but we relish that challenge and have designed a simple and effective process to manage it.

A few years ago, we built this cinema for an aged care facility — and it was lovely to be invited back on the first day of the site’s new ownership.

The room had clearly been well used, which is always the best sign. Over time, other people had been through the system, the rack needed tidying, and the documentation needed updating but the cinema itself was still doing what it was built to do.

Our team serviced the system, recalibrated the audio and video, tidied and relabelled the rack, and made sure everything was performing as it should.

The seating layout is no longer quite how we originally designed it, but that was a compromise made for accessibility. Most importantly, the room continues to bring a wonderful cinema experience to the residents.

After checking the hours on the projector we were delighted to learn it has been so extensively used and has brought so much pleasure to so many people.
We look forward to many more residents enjoying it for years to come.

Having the performance behemoth that is the Barco Balder is great but having it fully calibrated to see its ultimate potential takes it from great to sensational.
As always a massive shout out to Tony O’Brien from Clarity Audio & Video Calibration for his expertise....our picture quality from the Barco Balder coupled with the ultimate video source from Kaleidescape is now a perfect match for the ballistic audio performance provided by our Grimani Systems, StormAudio and Powersoft.
a final flourish- Fitting port glass to the front of our projector hush box will reduce the already quiet projector noise to become almost imperceptible.
