Palmer Luckey founded Anduril Industries in 2017 after selling Oculus VR to Facebook with the vision of transforming defense through artificial intelligence and autonomous systems. Together with his co founders, he built a company that develops advanced software, drones, autonomous vehicles and surveillance systems for military and national security applications.

In 2025 Anduril raised 2.5 billion dollars in one of the largest private funding rounds in technology, lifting its valuation to 30.5 billion dollars. By March 2026 the company was reportedly raising another multi billion dollar funding round that would value Anduril at around 60 billion dollars. Today Anduril is one of the fastest growing defense technology companies in the world, securing major government contracts and proving how ambitious engineering and long term vision can redefine an entire industry.
