I love mood boards. Mood boards are always the best starting point for any branding projects or idea in general. They help you put your vision into a visual file and can help you achieve your end goal. ⠀
⠀
I always start all my branding projects with a mood board and show it to my client to make sure we are on the same page vision-wise. Once final, it's also an amazing reference to come back too if needed. ⠀
⠀
Moodboards don't always have to be in design, though. They can also be for renovating a house, planning a holiday, planning a party... They are basically vision boards! ⠀
⠀
Here are a few tips for creating great mood boards: ⠀
⠀
🔸 Collate heaps of images you feel inspired by and then select the ones that speak to you most. Don't include all the images at the end though. Rather take a few as these will be the ones that will really guide you.
⠀
🔸 Add colours! Take colours from the imagery you've selected, and you'll see how well it fits together.⠀
⠀
🔸 Don't be afraid to add texture. Whether it's sand or thick paper, even if it's just a photograph of it, it'll add a nice element to it. ⠀
⠀
🔸 Take your mood board out of your screen! If you can print the different elements and add anything that you can on hand that could fit with it (textures again, physical objects etc...) ⠀
⠀
🔸 Let the magic happen! Your vision has come to life. ⠀
