Most finance teams treat July as the start of the financial year. But if you have got an AP process you have been meaning to fix, it is actually closer to a deadline.
Sign off a project now and you've got two full quarters of FY27 to show real savings against this year's targets. Leave it until Q3 and the benefits slide into the next reporting period, which, to a board, looks a lot like nothing happened.
