This video documents an incident that occurred on June 12, 2024, at a police response scene in a coastal area of southeastern Melbourne. It is shared for everyone's judgment:

Are Australian police too lenient with criminals, or are they fully protecting the rights of suspects?

Two police officers in a patrol car apprehended a suspect (accurately, "suspect"). After handcuffing the suspect, they asked him some health-related questions and then called an ambulance for him.

While waiting for the ambulance, it started to rain, and the police specifically moved the suspect under the eaves of a house to prevent him from getting wet (putting him in the back of the patrol car would have made him more uncomfortable).

The two police officers stood with the suspect the entire time (the suspect was either sitting or reclining on the ground) and waited for the ambulance for about an hour.

When the ambulance arrived, the suspect said he did not want to go to the hospital, but the paramedics insisted he should go. In the end, the police had to lift and assist the suspect onto the ambulance.

Throughout the process, the police did not verbally abuse or hit the suspect; instead, the suspect kept swearing, repeatedly using the F-word.
