I rarely post about myself or share photos, but I had the pleasure of spending a special day with a remarkable woman who has been a source of inspiration to me for 25 years. I had the privilege of being invited to the lunch to talk about websites, SEO, and Google Business with clinic owners, and our day together reminded me of our journey over the years.
💜 To my right is whom I taught as a student in my first class of aspiring beauty therapists in the late 90’s.
We crossed paths again when I worked for a group of beauty clinics. Initially, I was a clinic manager, but I quickly climbed the ranks, to become a GM, where I honed my skills in policy and procedure development, management, marketing, graphic design, and website design. I was so fortunate to have the support of the owners to diversify and wear many hats over the years. These were the early days of websites and the launch of social media was quickly gaining traction in the world and for businesses. Meanwhile, Fergil became a manager of one of the clinics.
Through Fergil's encouragement, a franchise model was created. Developing the franchise model was a game-changer for me, it inspired me to take on my own franchise business while still working in the head office, allowing me to leave a team to run the business.
Fast forward a decade, and the franchise was acquired by another group. I worked with the restructure, clinic rebrands, and franchisee coordination in NSW. We both sold our businesses and moved on in our professional lives but our friendship has remained.
💙 Fergil's now making big waves in the medical and aesthetic world as National Manager at iS CLINICAL Australia and New Zealand. I'm now in a calm space after spending years in a fast paced environment. Despite facing challenges a times, that experience armed me with the skills I bring to my business today.
🙏 Today and every other day, I am grateful and look after a variety of great businesses and owners where I can share my experience and creativity.
It's amazing to have business relationships that stand the test of time. Let's celebrate the women who inspire us and lift each other up.
