Cricket fans - the WACA has a new museum! 🏏

The brand new WACA Ground Museum opens on Saturday 3 October, taking you behind the scenes of one of WA’s most iconic sporting landmarks. Set in the Prindiville Building at Gate 1, the museum traces the story of the WACA Ground through the sport, entertainment and community moments that have shaped it.

The museum is packed with cricket history, memorabilia and objects from the WA Cricket Collection, including artefacts from legends such as Justin Langer, Zoë Goss, Dennis Lillee and Geoff ‘Swampy’ Marsh. One fascinating exhibit is the actual ball from the infamous 1981 underarm incident - a piece of Australian cricket history.

There’s also Howzat?!, an interactive zone where you can test your cricket skills, build your own team and see how the WACA pitch fares over a test match. It’s a great addition for kids, making the museum a fun school holiday outing rather than simply a wander through display cabinets.
