Conference season is officially in full swing across Victoria!

At Zero 3 Communications, supporting our local school leadership networks is at the heart of what we do. We’ve been proud to hit the road recently to connect with the incredible teams at the:

Heads up, Victoria! 📢

There is a nationwide test of Australia’s new emergency warning system, AusAlert, coming up on Monday, 27 July 2026, at 2:00 PM (AEST).

If you’re in a meeting, a classroom, or just trying to get some focus time, be prepared: compatible mobile phones, tablets, and smartwatches will sound a loud siren and display a test message. This happens even if your device is switched to silent.

The good news? No action is required from you. It’s simply a test to ensure the system is ready to protect us during real emergencies like bushfires or floods.

We wanted to make sure our schools and business partners weren’t caught off guard by the noise!

This May, Zero 3 Communications is proud to support the "Pass the Phone Challenge" for DV Safe Phone and Rotary International. We’re calling on our community of Victorian schools and businesses to dig out those retired mobile handsets, laptops, and devices.

What happens to your donation?
Instead of heading to e-waste, every device we receive goes through a secure process. They are professionally wiped and factory reset to protect your data before being repurposed. These phones are then gifted to victims of domestic violence, providing them with a safe, reliable way to call for help and stay connected to support networks when it matters most.

Ever wonder why some clients or parents aren't picking up your calls? It might be because your business number is showing up as "Spam" or "Fraud" on their screens.

This is a common headache, especially for Victorian schools and medical centres that make a high volume of outbound calls. The good news? It’s usually not a fault with your phone system: it’s how apps like Truecaller and Hiya identify your number. These apps rely on user reports and internet data, which can sometimes be incorrect.

Here’s how you can fix it:

1. Update Truecaller: Visit their unlisting page (https://www.truecaller.com/unlisting) and verify your phone number via SMS.
2. Notify Hiya: Submit a request via their help desk (https://hiyahelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=824667) to correct an "Incorrect Caller ID" label.
3. Sync Your Online Listings: Make sure your number matches perfectly on your website and Google Business Profile.
