Calling all businesses local to Melbourne!

It feels crazy that we are discussing Christmas and the end of the year already, but alas the time is drawing nearer. Without repeating the obvious, this year has been crazy. It got me thinking- what could I do to help out our local businesses that have been forced to face the impossible this year.

Introducing… Local by Design!

Each week until Christmas (that’s just over 9 for those counting!) I will be showcasing one of the amazing local businesses that the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne has to offer! The aim? To advertise and promote shopping locally this Christmas. We need to support each other, so let’s use this festive season as the opportunity! Understanding, of course, that this year won’t be like others, let’s be more thoughtful with where we are putting our money.

Who am I?

My name is Molly and welcome to d’arcy by Design!

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Design (just weeks from finishing!), with major in in architecture. Beyond this, I love anything creative and can never say no to a challenge- perhaps that’s why graphic design drew me in!

What sets me apart? I have always been an analytical person. Design can often be misunderstood as a simple process, however I love the science and technicality of creating the perfect design intervention!

Finally, I refuse to believe in the status quo, because it’s what I’m told to believe. Be that in life or design, I question everything and cut out the superfluous details.
