Maybe I’m just really sentimental but I’ve always had a soft spot for things that are handmade in any and all mediums 🤎
And while I’m endlessly grateful for all the wonderful things technology allows us to do (like sharing this little letter with you through a screen 🤭) I think there’s still something incredibly special and heartfelt about the process of making something tangible.
From the first little drawing, to bringing it all together on my iPad, choosing the paper, printing, folding and adding those final finishing touches. There’s a certain pleasure in seeing an idea become something you can actually hold in your hands.
Perhaps it’s the nostalgia in me, but I love the thought of little ones opening a letter from Santa Claus, unfolding it, reading its words and tucking it away somewhere special. Especially when it feels as though it has arrived from another time, or a rather magical place ✨
In a world where so much happens on a screen, I think now more than ever there’s a place for little things like this. I hope they’re the sort of keepsakes that bring a little joy, a moment of magic and presence, and a lasting memory.
My little fold out letters from Father Christmas are part of this year’s Everkeep Christmas collection, alongside many other darling keepsakes which are all now available online ✨❤️
