We’re proud to support the Manly community and businesses in saying ‘Soy Long’ to plastic soy fish from July 1st.

Why is this small change a big deal?

10,000+ plastic items will be removed from circulation every single week, and that’s just from one local shopping precinct. Imagine what we could do across Australia where millions upon millions of these fish are used each year.

Manly will be the first CBD district in NSW to permanently eliminate plastic soy fish from takeaway services. And, importantly, venues are doing this voluntarily.

The initiative is about more than just switching from one type of packaging to another: it’s reducing waste every way we can, with simple changes like offering free-pour soy on countertops, encouraging staff to ask customers what condiments they need rather than providing them by default, and offering more sustainable alternatives like Holy Carp when needed.

The Heliograf team are looking forward to the official launch on Wednesday!
