So… let me reintroduce myself 👋
My name’s Steph.
I’m the owner of Aloura Collective, a strategy-led creative consultancy. It started out as SD Marketing back in 2018 and has grown into something much bigger. These days I work alongside businesses on brand positioning, creative direction, marketing strategy and social media management. I’m a big believer that creativity needs strategy behind it, and that’s exactly what I help business owners build.
I’ve been working in marketing since 2017, starting out in real estate, and it’s the part of the job I fell in love with. Everything from social media and campaigns to helping people show up properly, both online and in their community.
When I’m not working on Aloura, you’ll find me wearing a few other hats.
I also own Steph Downman Photography, which is where I get to get behind the camera. I shoot portraits and landscapes, including maternity, family and graduation sessions across Gympie, the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay.
And if that wasn’t enough, I’m an Auxiliary Firefighter with the Queensland Fire Department. That means I’m on call, and when a job comes in I drop what I’m doing to respond to fires, road crashes and other emergencies in my community. It’s challenging, it’s humbling, and it’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. 🚒
