Well that’s something I never thought I’d see in the wild! Felt like a bit of a perv but wow that’s something special. Lions can mate 20 - 50 times a day and sometimes up to 100 times a day during the females fertile period. No wonder the males sleep so much!

Tarangire national park in Tanzania! Wow! The wildlife is outstanding. There is something to search for around every corner, in every tree, through every stretch of grassland, and every water hole. It’s a place you can never feel boredom, just pure enjoyment and amazement. With our expert guide, we learnt and experienced so much and had so many laughs. It feels unreal to be spotting and photographing your first leopard, lion, mongoose or elephant, what ever it might be, in its wild habitat, not only surviving but thriving 😍

A couple of fav shots from our Zambezi river sunset cruise. Upon starting they said you might see hippos, elephant crocodile, birds and so on… I thought cool, I hope I see a hippo, I never expected to see so many! popping their heads up. I just love watching them flick their cute little ears.

I quickly came to the conclusion that this isn’t a great place to go for a swim 🤣 🐊 🦛

This one is for the lion lovers!
We’ve been so lucky to have such a knowledgeable guide here in Tarangire national park to have so many lion sightings. Just today, we watched a family of 11 chilling out on the drying river bed. The cubs in the first image are about 2 years old. We also witnessed a lioness feeding on a wildebeest and a jackal trying to get in on a free feed.
Just amazing!

It’s not everyday you get to go far a stroll with African elephants while they do what they do naturally…. Stripping trees and branches 🤣

These elephants are living in the Victoria falls wildlife sanctuary due to circumstances of poaching. The sanctuary is 5600 acres and they are protected with armed guards 24hours a day then hopefully prepared and relocated to the wild as a family. They live among wildebeests, impala, lions, buffalo, hippos, etc within the sanctuary.

They allowed us to be near them and did not decide to crush us and i am truely thankful I was lucky enough to experience this 🥰

We popped across the border to Botswana for the day, visiting chobe national park. WOW! It was incredible. Mega herds of 100’s or elephants, hippos, buffalo, giraffes, impala, crocs… such an amazing experience! I reckon I took about 3000 photos 🤣

From rough pencil sketches to final colour .

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the illustration process for ‘My Bossy Brain’ written by the lovely Kristy Ambrose. This children’s book is designed to help kids and their parents to better understand and cope with OCD in a gentle, supportive way.

I always love sharing how an illustration evolves from loose concepts and messy brainstorming into a finished artwork full of colour, character and emotion. Seeing the journey side by side reminds me how much storytelling happens long before the final page.

I’ve loved working on this project and I’m excited to keep bringing these important conversations to life through illustration.
