Printer throwing a tantrum? 🛠️🖨️

We’ve had a few folks reach out for help lately, so C & J Precision is officially testing the waters with basic BambuLab machine repairs!

Just to be fully transparent, we aren't Bambu certified. However, we are constantly tearing down our own fleet of machines for maintenance, and with our in-house mechanical engineer (who finds rebuilding cars and motorbikes from scratch fun for some odd reason...) your printer is in highly capable hands.

We are currently taking these on a case-by-case basis to gauge the response. ⚙️

Our first customer had a massive nozzle failure where a crazy clump of filament melted straight into the extruder gears. We completely pulled the assembly apart, cleared the mess, replaced the hot end assembly and got them back up and printing again!

We always love crossing paths with other local makers, and recently we helped out the crew over at Monitor Monsters with a 3D scan of a broken part they had. 🤝🔥

Getting a look at what they do was awesome, so we had to give them a shoutout! They build these massive, custom monster mounts that sit right over the top of your computer monitor.

As fellow printing nerds, we are seriously impressed by the attention to detail on these things. Anyone who has a 3D printer knows that tackling pieces of this size and complexity isn't a walk in the park—it takes some absolute dedication and days of prep to get parts like this ready to go. 🤯

We love a good challenge, especially when it’s for an epic birthday gift! 🎁🗺️

A customer reached out with this incredibly detailed topographic map of Newcastle that they bought from www.maps3d.io for her husband’s birthday, and asked if we could bring it into the real world.

Not going to lie, with the sheer amount of crazy fine street lines and all the extreme height variations in the topography, this was definitely one of the "spicier" prints we’ve run lately! 🌶️😅

The machines definitely had to work for this one, but we got it completely dialed in.The final result looks absolutely awesome, and we heard got feedback the gift was a massive success!

If you're the kind of person who has strong opinions on the Mercator projection, or you just really appreciate a perfectly spaced contour interval, this one’s for you. 🗺️⛰️

A customer reached out needing a couple of these Dell Optiplex caddys for their setup, and we were able to quickly spin them up as an on-demand print job.

We definitely run on coffee around here, so when a local coffee guru reached out needing some custom grinder upgrades, we knew we had to deliver! ☕⚙️

They already had the designs ready to go and just needed us to handle an on-demand printing run from their files.

We got the machines dialed in and cranked out these sleek custom pieces to take their espresso setup to the next level.

We had a customer message us in a bit of a panic this week needing a last-minute save for their son's school assignment.

They managed to find a 3D file online for a "canopic jar" and just needed someone to run it as a quick print-on-demand job.

I'm not going to lie, I definitely had to do a quick Google search to figure out what a canopic jar actually was!😅

We got it printed out, and now it's handed off to the customer, completely ready for them to paint up and weather so it looks like it was just dug straight out of the pyramids. 🏺🏜️

Fingers crossed for a good grade on the project!
