Don't let a busted part sink your weekend on the water! 🚤⚓

We just reverse-engineered these boat hinges directly from the broken original. To make sure they can take an absolute beating out on the harsh seas, we printed them in super high-quality ASA GF (Glass Fiber) and took the extra time to anneal the parts for maximum strength. 💪🌊

For those wondering what that means—by carefully heat-treating the plastics, the annealing process relieves internal stress and fuses the printed layers together. This massively boosts the part's overall durability and temperature resistance! 🔥

It's not always work-related stuff on the printers; we have a bit of fun solving our own problems around the house too! 🚐💡

Joel recently put the machines to work on his camper. He repurposed an empty microwave space into a power monitoring station, complete with a custom 3D-printed roller shutter to keep everything neat when not in use.

A massive thank you to the team at Maitland Book Exchange for trusting us with their new section signs! We absolutely loved working with you guys to get the design and colours exactly right for the shelves.

I really enjoyed spending time in the shop when I dropped these off. If you haven't been in yet, they have an unreal selection of books at such great prices. My daughter Violet had the absolute best time exploring, and she is over the moon with the haul of books she left with!

A very special shoutout to Kathy, too—it was so incredibly lovely of you to take the time to sit and read with Violet while I was having a look around the store.

We can’t wait to fire up the printers for the rest of the genres and help get the whole store decked out! If you’re local and looking for your next great read, definitely go check them out. 📚🖨️

Helping out another local business is what it's all about. 🤝 The crew from Just Magnets stopped by the shop recently because they needed some custom jigs designed and printed to speed up their production line.

They dropped off some killer custom magnets featuring our branding while they were here, and they look right at home on our tool wall!

Thanks for the epic gift, guys! We are looking forward to collaborating on the next project. Do us a favour and give them a follow to help support another great local business.

It’s not all rainbows and butterflies in the workshop... sometimes it’s just a solid block of plastic exactly where it shouldn't be. 😅

We had a major malfunction on one of the printers when the purge chute (affectionately known as the "p**p chute") decided to block up mid-print. Instead of clearing, the filament backed up straight into the toolhead, completely encasing the extruder in a solid blob of misery.

Cue a few hours of playing surgeon. We had to pull the entire assembly apart, carefully excavate the plastic out of the delicate wiring, and give it some serious TLC.

The good news? The patient survived and we are officially back up and running. Just another day in the trenches! 🛠️ Swipe to see the carnage. 👉

Is it delivery day at the workshop, or are we just testing how much weight these shelves can take before they violently collapse? 🧱😅

We just took delivery of a massive restock of Bambu Lab filament because the printers were starting to threaten a strike. They’ve been running flat out lately, so we had to drag this mountain of plastic inside just to keep them quiet and keep your orders moving.

From reverse-engineering your busted auto parts to printing functional prototypes, Joel and I are fully loaded with more material than we honestly know what to do with right now.

Seriously though, someone order something so we can melt this stuff down and get our floor space back. What are we building next? 👇

What an incredible honour it has been for C & J Precision to partner with the and the Roche Group for their spectacular Snow Time In The Garden event! ❄️⛄

Having the opportunity to provide custom 3D prints for this local winter wonderland and then actually walking through to see our pieces come to life inside their amazing dioramas was such a surreal and rewarding experience for the workshop.

Joel and I took our better halves and kids out there to experience it firsthand, and it was the ultimate family day out. The kids absolutely loved playing in the snow, building snowmen, having snowball fights, hitting the ice skating rink, and racing down the toboggan run before exploring the rest of the beautiful gardens. ⛸️🏔️

If you are looking for an epic day out in the Hunter this winter, we cannot recommend it enough. Grab the family and go check it out!
