Sometimes a brand so easily expands beyond itself, offering new and playful way to exist in the world. Hunter Valley Paediatrics certainly offers this. From Stickers for children attending their appointments, to bespoke height charts for the consulting rooms, to wall decals and interior design elements that all help to unite the consulting rooms, and create a safe and welcoming presence for patients and their families.

What a dream project, we had so much fun working to bring this brand to life.

In conjunction with brand design for Hunter Valley Paediatrics, we designed and developed an SEO optimised & responsive website experience for the practice, with the initial goal of attracting new patients and gathering referrals prior to opening the doors of the new practice.

Upon the soft launch of the website and prior to opening it’s doors, Hunter Valley Paediatrics has already gathered over 60 referrals for new patients, and has attracted two new Paediatricians who have been recruited to join the growing practice.

Oh, Dinos in a Meadow, how we love you so...

We are celebrating the sweetest of brand identities that has recently launched for a new Paediatric practice located in Newcastle, Hunter Valley Paediatrics!

The gorgeous humans at Hunter Valley Paeds approached us to design a unique brand identity for their practice that would appeal to both parents/carers and to children of different ages, from babies to teens.

The brand design process is never linear, it purposefully wanders through explorations, research and conversations, finding new ways to visually communicate the essence of the brand.

An undeniable starting point for this brand was it’s location and name-sake the ‘Hunter Valley’ of NSW. Brainstorming around these words, we immediately associated dinosaurs with the term ‘Hunter’, and coupled them with visions of a floral meadow, representing the ‘Valley’ aspect of the name. And so, ‘Dinos in a Meadow’ was born, and quickly evolved into something very special!

The floors at my primary school were carpeted in this vibrant emerald green. I remember sitting cross legged, listening to the teacher read us a story, or watching children give ‘show and tell’, running my hand across the green carpet bristles. It is such an evocative colour for me, full of possibility, fresh like the garden, ready for the imaginary play of farm animals and tiny houses, or the cutting of paper, craft time, making.

Colours are amazing like that. They can evoke vivid memories and emotions, often in a way that transcends association. This green will forever remind me of the youthful possibilities of making and doing, and how nice it is to have been encouraged to explore creativity as a child.

I fall behind on this app, never posting about the work we do, just deep in the doing. And what a wonderful place to be, bustling along with great clients and design projects. And yet, there is creative work that deserve to be seen.

So please consider this a green pause. A mint, pea and spinach palette cleanser, refreshingly preparing you for what is to come. 💚
