The floors at my primary school were carpeted in this vibrant emerald green. I remember sitting cross legged, listening to the teacher read us a story, or watching children give βshow and tellβ, running my hand across the green carpet bristles. It is such an evocative colour for me, full of possibility, fresh like the garden, ready for the imaginary play of farm animals and tiny houses, or the cutting of paper, craft time, making.
Colours are amazing like that. They can evoke vivid memories and emotions, often in a way that transcends association. This green will forever remind me of the youthful possibilities of making and doing, and how nice it is to have been encouraged to explore creativity as a child.
I fall behind on this app, never posting about the work we do, just deep in the doing. And what a wonderful place to be, bustling along with great clients and design projects. And yet, there is creative work that deserve to be seen.
So please consider this a green pause. A mint, pea and spinach palette cleanser, refreshingly preparing you for what is to come. π
