🚀 ANOTHER FULL STACK UNIFI RETROFIT COMPLETE!

Another big project wrapped up for ZJK Solutions, and the customer is over the moon with the finished result!

This was a complete upgrade of the site's existing infrastructure, bringing Ubiquiti Inc UniFi Network, Protect, Access and the new UniFi Alarm System together into one integrated ecosystem.

Here's what went into this deployment:

🌐 UniFi Network – Upgraded network infrastructure featuring the UDM Pro Max, high-performance switching and centralised network management.

📹 UniFi Protect – Modern CCTV surveillance with easy access to live footage, recordings and smart notifications.

🔐 UniFi Access – A complete 2-door access control retrofit, modernising the existing system while making use of compatible infrastructure.

🚨 UniFi Alarm System – Replacing the existing alarm setup with the new UniFi Alarm Hub, bringing intrusion detection and alarm management into the UniFi Protect ecosystem.

⚡ One Integrated Platform – Networking, cameras, door access and alarms, all managed through the UniFi ecosystem.

One of the biggest advantages of this project was being able to reuse parts of the existing infrastructure rather than ripping everything out and starting again.

From planning and per-configuration through to installation, integration and final commissioning, the goal was to deliver a system that's reliable, secure and easy for the customer to manage.

And seeing how happy the customer is with the result makes it even better!
This is what we love doing at ZJK Solutions.

Taking older, disconnected systems and bringing them together into a modern, professionally integrated solution.

Whether it's a full technology overhaul or upgrading individual parts of your existing setup, we can help design a solution that works for your property.

You might have seen the name ZJK Solutions popping up around Brisbane lately… so what do we actually do?

We help homeowners and businesses get their technology designed and set up properly.

Not just another WiFi extender.
Not just another camera screwed to the wall.
Not technology thrown together and hoped for the best.
ZJK Solutions focuses on the complete solution:

📶 High-Performance Networks & WiFi
📹 CCTV & Security
🔐 Access Control & Alarm Systems
💻 Custom Builds
🏠 Integrated Home & Business Technology

We work with leading platforms including Ubiquiti UniFi and Ajax, designing systems around the property rather than trying to make the property fit the equipment.
From fixing WiFi in a Brisbane home to building out the network and security infrastructure for a business, the approach stays the same:

Do it properly. Keep it clean. Make it reliable.
We’re local to Brisbane and service customers throughout South East Queensland.
So next time you hear someone say:

"The WiFi is terrible."
"We really need cameras."
"Our alarm is ancient."
"We need to sort out the network at work."

Think ZJK Solutions.

Another UniFi Access upgrade underway 🔐

This site has been upgraded using the Ubiquiti UniFi Access 2-Door Retrofit Kit, bringing two existing doors into the UniFi Access platform without needing to completely replace the existing door hardware.

The retrofit setup allows the existing electric locking hardware to be integrated with the new UniFi Access system, while adding modern UniFi readers at each entry.

For the client, that means:

* Two doors managed from one UniFi Access system
* Modern card/fob and mobile access
* Central management of users and access permissions
* Access schedules and event history
* Remote door management
* A clean retrofit using the existing door infrastructure where suitable
* No ongoing UniFi Access licensing fees

A great option for businesses that already have electric strikes or access-control hardware installed but want to move away from an older access system and onto a modern, centrally managed platform.

🔐 UPCOMING PROJECT — UNIFI ACCESS RETROFIT

A new 2-door access control upgrade coming up for ZJK Solutions, using the new UniFi Access Retrofit system.

This solution is designed to modernise an existing access control installation while making use of existing infrastructure where suitable — a great option for sites wanting to move to the UniFi Access platform without starting completely from scratch.

For this project, we’ll be upgrading two controlled doors, including the new Retrofit hardware, UniFi readers and associated access components.

Once completed, the customer will have a modern, centrally managed access control system with:

✔️ Two-door access control
✔️ Modern UniFi readers
✔️ Centralised user and access management
✔️ NFC/card-based entry
✔️ Remote management and event visibility
✔️ A clean upgrade path from the existing system

One of the things I like about these retrofit solutions is that an access control upgrade doesn’t necessarily mean ripping everything out and starting again. With the right existing infrastructure, we can modernise the system while retaining compatible components and cabling.

Looking forward to getting this one installed and sharing the finished result.
